Getting your prescription Ready and Right

We give ALL our patients the same professional care and attention. The time it takes to get your prescription ready is to ensure your safety by:

• Updating your computerized drug profile. Accurate records of your medicine history are an essential part of your medical records. You can request a printout of your prescription history for example if you need to visit a specialist consultant.

• Providing clear and accurate labels for your medication with appropriate instructions from your doctor.

• Providing safe and adequate packaging for your medication. For example, SuperPharm provides some medications in tamper proof amber coloured prescription vials. SuperPharm is the only pharmacy in Trinidad that provides medication vials which actually help to preserve and protect your medication from premature degradation.

• Every item is checked and signed off by our Pharmacist on duty – these checks and balances are to ensure patient safety by reducing the risk of dispensing errors.
